We are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join a dynamic team for a maternity cover role based in Slough. The role will involve providing comprehensive HR support across various areas, from recruitment and employee relations to performance management and training. You’ll have the chance to make a direct impact on the business by ensuring that HR policies and procedures are effectively implemented and followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and advise on HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Coordinate recruitment campaigns from start to finish, including candidate assessments and interviews.
- Oversee the employee offer and contract process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Organise new employee inductions and support onboarding.
- Assist in training and development activities, ensuring ROI and alignment with business objectives.
- Support managers in implementing structural and cultural changes within their teams.
- Handle employee performance management processes and absence management.
- Provide guidance and support during disciplinary and grievance processes.
- Analyse HR data to provide business insights and support decision-making.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Essential:
- CIPD qualified or part-qualified (or equivalent experience).
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor role, ideally with a focus on operational HR.
- Strong understanding of employment law (grievance, absence, discipline, family-friendly, etc.).
- Ability to build effective relationships with employees at all levels.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to analyse and interpret HR data.
- Desirable:
- Experience in recruitment coordination and process participation.
- Experience with HRIS systems.
- Knowledge of employee engagement activities and surveys.
- Business/commercial awareness.
